For Parents
Mt. Hope Bible Camp Welcomes You!
Dear Parents:
We are looking forward to seeing your camper this summer in what will be a life-changing experience! Mt. Hope Bible Camp provides a wonderful environment of discovery that kids love. Mt. Hope is a place surrounded by God's beautiful creation, filled with intense fun and packed with real life experiences and relationships that will draw them closer to God!
This summer be ready for paintball, singing silly camp songs, enjoying biblical chapel messages and skits, playing games, and creative camp activities. Much has changed since our first summer in 1952 when we started with simple tents and a campfire. One thing that remains constant is our commitment to help youth enter into a relationship with Jesus and experience His love as they build a closer walk with God. We strive to provide a safe, biblical, and quality Christ-centered camping experience.
Your child will have a blast this summer while growing in ways that last a lifetime! See you soon!

PARENT INFORMATION:
Letters and Packages
Campers love to get letters from home! Send your camper positive
letters and emails encouraging them to learn their verses, do a
craft project, team up on a paint ball team, and make new friends.
You may not hear from your camper all week because they're having
too much fun! Information for writing to your camper is found in the
Contact section.

Receiving packages at camp is always fun! If you're sending a
package, please remember that food encourages animals and bugs.
Instead, please send fun items that can be shared among the cabin of
about 10 campers. Packages can be dropped off at the office during
registration or mailed to your camper for delivery during the week.
Please refrain from dropping by to visit your camper during their
week of camp.
Learn more about camp safety
Your camper's week is designed for their age group. Safety is a
priority and responsibility we take seriously. We make every effort
to provide a facility and program that is safe, biblical, fun, and
focuses on Jesus Christ. The meetings, lessons, activities, meals,
and schedules are all oriented around the age of the campers that
week. Our Program Director works all year to plan an exciting,
creative, and challenging camp experience for your child. Every
staff member is chosen only after an application process where the
applicant is interviewed twice, personal and pastoral references are
checked, and a background check is completed. It is our commitment
to provide quality staff that is prepared and capable.
The safety of your camper is important to us. As a parent, we want
you to be assured that your child will be in a safe environment
while at Mt. Hope. Our camper to cabin leader ratio is 5:1. This
allows the best group dynamic within the cabin while enjoying the
freedom of being at camp. All our staff and volunteers are here to
serve, weather it be in the kitchen, housekeeping, or leading
campers in games.
We use only Red Cross certified lifeguards at the pool. To ensure
safety, younger camps conduct swim tests on the first day and use
the buddy system throughout the week. Swimmers wear wristbands
designating three swim levels. We have a nurse on the grounds at all
times, and many staff are fully trained in CPR and First-Aid.
General Store
During your camper's week at camp the General Store will be open in
the afternoon. The General Store offers snacks, Mt Hope clothing,
post cards, and more. Each camper brings their own spending money
for the week to buy things from the store. We try to keep costs low
so that everyone has a chance to take home something from Mt Hope.
Logo Shirts range in price from approximately $7-$15 and sweatshirts
$20. Every camper that comes to Mt Hope will receive a summer theme
shirt, paintball, camp photo, and camp DVD at Christmas as part of
their registration cost.
You can play an important role in ensuring your camper will
have fun!
Talk with your child about camp while anticipating the upcoming
week. Be open to answering questions they may have if it's their
first week away from home. Don't forget to pray for your camper
during their week at camp as your camper explores God's Word in the
beautiful setting of Forbestown, California
You'll enjoy hearing all about your camper's week on the trip home!
